Sidelines National Support Network / Volunteer / Who are the Volunteers? Who are the Sidelines Volunteers? All of our volunteers are women who have experienced a complicated pregnancy. Some of the volunteers are women we supported during their difficult pregnancies and who are anxious to "give back" to another woman during this difficult, frightening time. Others didn't know about us until after the completion of their pregnancies, and knew how valuable peer support would have been to them. All of these women know firsthand how difficult it is to put your life on hold to do everything possible to bring your baby close to term.
Sidelines currently has over 3500 trained volunteers and over 600 of those are volunteers that support families online. We have volunteers in each of the United States including Hawaii and Alaska!
Sidelines Volunteer Spotlight . Every month we feature a different volunteer on our Volunteer Spotlight web page. Here you can read about how they became involved with Sidelines, what their high-risk pregnancy was about and suggestions for moms currently experiencing a high-risk pregnancy. A Volunteer's Story. Read about how an online volunteer supported a Mom who lived in Israel. |
